Modesty

Modesty is a really important topic. You're probably thinking "Oh no not some of this modest stuff again , I'm not wearing a head wrap or a turtleneck, floor-length dress" No. You're not and you don't have to do that to be modest . So , I'm going to give you some tips on how to dress modestly in a cute , fashionable way! :)

1.Wear Skirts-This isn't something you have to do. I know some girls prefer pants, and there's a tip for that below! Skirts are super cute! I wear knee-length jean ones with leggings and a cute top. Maxis are really pretty too, you can wear those in every season! Always make sure your skirt is not too short or too tight.

2.Wear Dresses-dresses can be cute if you can find them just the right length, whether that be knee-length or ankle length. Just not too short & not too tight.

3.Make sure your top is up to your collar bone at least. If you find a shirt you really like that is V-neck or too low , find a modest undershirt to wear with it ! :)

4.Modest Jeans-This is not as hard as it seems. You've got a pair of cute jeans ? So now all you need is a shirt that is long enough to cover up your rear-end and your front too. It's all about being modest :) Sometimes you can find these really super short dresses that would be too inappropriate to wear as a dress, so you can wear it as a shirt with some jeans ! Tada! Modest Magic!

Here are some fun tests to take and see if you are modest or not !:)

Ok , now . Put your hand on your chest to where your thumb is aligned with your collar bone.
If you're pinky is touching clothing , you're good to go. If it's touching skin...You'd better change your shirt or put on a modest under shirt.

Have a lady you trust ( like your mom , sister or friend) stand in front of you.  Now bend over in front of them and stand back up. If they say they could see down your shirt , it's immodest.

For this one you're gonna do the same exact thing as above but turn around the other way where your back is facing her. Bend over and if she sees anything she doesn't need to or if your pants/skirt/dress is too tight , it's immodest.


Always remember that as Christians , we are supposed to be set apart and different from the world but you don't want to stand out too much to the point where you get the wrong kind of attention.
